Frustrated with our own experiences working with external resources when starting, scaling & selling DTC brands/DNVBs & eCommerce companies, Karta Consulting was started to rapidly scale internal resources for our affiliated private equity firm’s portfolio & ensure access to the best talent possible. 

​Traditional consulting engagements are often the start of our relationships with clients, allowing us to demonstrate our ability to deliver results and test our working relationship. More often than not, this leads to an investment by Karta Ventures which also reduces service fees for the recipient.

​For us, the opportunity to invest alongside or in directly in a client is a privilege we win by delivering exceptional results that go beyond the scope of our engagement.

The majority of our engagements are paired with direct investments through our investment firm – Karta Ventures. When they aren’t paired with an investment, our goal is to demonstrate our ability to deliver results and earn the privilege of investing in or alongside your business.

Our team’s experience as founders and C-level executives means that we fully understand the implications of strategic advice we offer. You won’t find us recommending you run paid channels with first-purchase bleed if your balance sheet can’t support a long repurchase cycle – instead, we’ll show you how we’ve worked around similar limitations in the past.

Karta Consulting exists to drive growth in equity value in our portfolio companies - not profit off fees - which is why we build our team out aggressively ahead of anticipated needs. Dollars from non-equity engagements at Karta are used to further grow our team and in-house capabilities instead of paying out dividends.

Karta Consulting is frequently engaged by investors across a spectrum of asset classes because of our team’s deep experience in the DTC & eCommerce space.

Investors that engage Karta to assist with due diligence often do so early on in transactions to identify deal breakers as fast as possible - successfully mitigating the risk of costly dead deal fees.
